Hi, I am Matteo. Welcome to my awesome blog!

Though I am often mistaken for a young Denzel Washington, I am but a mere adonis sushi enthusiast from Antwerp.

On this page, I'd like to get personal. And of course, as is the case with everything in the world, there is only one right way to do such a delicate and intimate thing. That's right, cold factual numbers and concise graphs.

Let me take you on a journey through the jungle that is me.

only 90's kids will know
Obnoxious 90's kid
As the above graph shows, I was born in 1990 and grew exactly one year older every year since then. This steady upward trend makes me 24 years old. I am, in every possible sense, an obnoxious 90's kid. I grew up on Samson & Gert, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Hey Arnold, Boy Meets WorldThe Simpsons, and Pokémon, and no other decade can ever compare. My generation grew up in two entirely different worlds: the carefree pre-computer days and the rapid-moving always-online era. We are the missing link between the non-natives and the kids for who sexting, krumping and twatting have become second nature. And boy does it offer a unique perspective. Check out Things 90s Kids Realize for a warm cup of 90's nostalgia.

Eligible bachelors
After a small detour at the University of Antwerp, I found the school I truly belonged: Plantijn College. It's where I learnt how to communicate good. I complemented the general advertising and media courses with electives such as Social Media, Sports Management, and Direct Marketing, and after three years, a two-month internship at choco, becoming runner-up in the Ad Venture competition, and winning the Intensive Program in Breda, I earned my bachelor's degree in Communications. The last year and a half, I have been pursuing a bachelor's in Marketing at Charlemagne College. Last year I finished all the courses, including quite some extensive market research for DHL Freight, and this year I've been doing internships at Global Image and Queromedia.

I have been a fan of the Boston Celtics since I was 14 years old. At first it was because of lovable goofball Ricky Davis, but as I watched and studied them, I became enthralled with the Celtics' Mystique and Larry Bird's moustache, and I quickly fell in love with the subtle skills and savvy of our captain, Paul Pierce. I wished for Pierce to retire a Celtic, but now that he is with the Brooklyn Nets Washington Wizards, I root for them as my secondary team. I also try to keep up with the Nets because of Kevin Garnett. My favorite current Celtic is triple-double machine Rajon Rondo. The fake behind the back pass, the nifty assists, the toughness, the 16.9 PPG, 9.7 RPG and 9.8 APG in the 2008-2009 playoffs... No. 9 is just a joy to watch.
hot celebrities
The babes
I easily develop crushes on celebrities. My latest infatuation is the flawless Jennifer Lawrence, and this for several reasons. A) To date, I have not seen her do one cliche interview, B) she's down-to-earth, literally, and, of course, C) she's amazingly talented. I mean come on: J-Law is 22 and she has an Oscar, what have you done lately? Another crush of mine is Zooey Deschanel. Me and her go way back, in fact. I fell in love with Zooey when I saw her in Elf back in 2003. The bangs, the singing, the adorable outfits... She's almost too cute to be true. I also worship model Cara Delevingne, and the way she fully embraces her weirdness.
