Kevin Bacon doesn't like puns

It was right there in front of our eyes.

Yet it took Grey New York to put 1 and 1 together, pairing the immortal Kevin Bacon with the American Egg Board for a new campaign promoting eggs in America.

In the amusing web film spearheading AEB's social marketing campaign, the Footloose actor surprises a housewife by laying on her kitchen counter, seducing her with facts about eggs. Since eggs are all-natural and packed with a number of nutrients, they make a "nutritional powerhouse of a breakfast".

According to the website, the nutrients in eggs "can help you with weight management, muscle strength, brain function and having a healthy pregnancy."

I like how the egg industry is trying something new and edgy. Bringing Bacon's star power to the world of eggs is all kinds of tasty, and this egg-selent campaign certainly does a great job of promoting eggs as breakfast food.
