Yes, yes! A thousand times yes!

The pressure is on.

I love binge browsing Pinterest for cool wedding minutiae. You know the Bridezilla adage: you can never start planning your wedding too early. What can I say? I'm a sappy dude and I'm very much looking forward to inviting all of my friends and family, celebrating our love, and saying "I do".

Still, I'm aware that before I get to wifey marry my lovely girlfriend Sarah, I'll have to strategize an unforgettable wedding proposal.

Which is not an easy thing to do. Especially with all the special stories that I hear some of my friends and acquaintances having.

I mean, how could I possibly ever top a proposal on the Golden Gate Bridge?

Or a proposal in Disneyland?

As if the bar weren't high enough already, a Dutchman just set it even higher. After dating for 1,000 days, hopeless romantic Vincent decided to propose to his girlfriend Carolijn at the movie theater. He didn't just kneel down and get to it, either, first serving up a pretty special movie trailer.

The trailer, a rendition of how Vincent and Carolijn met, set in their hometown Deventer, really took the future bride by surprise. As 'Vincent' ran into a movie theater in the trailer, the real one entered the auditorium, falling to one knee, quickly receiving a resounding "Yes!" from Carolijn.

The trailer had been in the works for over five months and came to life with the help of documentarian Martijn Payens, who has worked as a freelancer for Humanity in Action and Doctors Without Borders, among others.

"A special lady like her deserves a special proposal," Vincent told a regional TV station afterwards.

I couldn't agree with you more, Vincent.

As of today, Vincent's YouTube video has amassed 142,059 views.
