"Kids don't do what they're told, they do what they see"

A Life of Bright Ideas review
Hippie, but tasty
Shame on me. I had A Life Of Bright Ideas (2012) by Sandra Kring lying around since Christmas (thanks again, Mom!), but with so many books to go through and so little time to do it in, I had it on the back burner. When I was packing for Turkey, though, I thought "Hm... this might be perfect pool reading!"

"A man loses lots of habits in time"

Butcher's Crossing review
Buffalos before hoes
A favorable review in Humo. A 3-for-the-price-of-2 deal at the book store. That's all it took for Butcher's Crossing (1960) to get into my bookcase.

He just wrapped up his six-date Monster Tour with Rihanna. His eighth studio album The Marshall Mathers LP 2 was released less than a year ago.

Guardians of the Galaxy

We are Groot!
I had heard tons of great things about Guardians of the Galaxy - the latest from Marvel - from my brolleague/Dan Bilzerian lookalike Mattias and bromosexual life partner Tom, so I decided to check it out on Sunday. Hardly knowing what to exactly expect, other than their raving recommendations and the trailer I saw a while ago, I ended up having a great time. Lend me your attention, idiots, as I tell you why you should definitely go see this awesome movie.

Cookin' it up in Turkey

Marmaris Park in Marmaris, Turkey
Me & Marlon
I just returned from a weeklong stay in Marmaris, Turkey. With the non-summer going on Belgium and having been at work for nearly 8 months now, a sunny chillcation was just what I needed.

Transformers: Age of Extinction

Transformers: Age of Extenction (2014) by Michael Bay
No story, bro
Last week, me and my colleagues went on a heavenly sushi binge in Antwerp, followed by Transformers: Age of Extinction, the fourth installment in the popular Hasbro franchise. With epic four-time Worst Director nominee Michael Bay at the helm once more, it's pretty much a given what you're going to get: explosions, plot holes, explosions, 'Murica!, explosions, and, of course, the imminent destruction of Earth. Oh wait, I left out the best part: explosions.
