G I R L let me tell you something

He's a Grammy-winning producer and recording artist. A fashion designer. An ageless vampire. I am of course talking about the incredibly talented Pharrell Williams. His music has evolved a great deal from the early N.E.R.D. days, but Pharrell remains smoother than an Armani tux, and his legacy as a master craftsman of hits keeps expanding with every Blurred Lines, Get Lucky, and Happy that he puts out. The man drops smash hits like he's clumsy.

The 40-year-old i am OTHER owner appears to be at the top of the charts at all times. An awfully impressive feat, if you consider that In My Mind, his first and only album, already dates back to 2006. The album sold nearly 900.000 copies worldwide, and, perhaps more significantly, launched Pharrell's career as a solo producer. Up until then, him and Chad Hugo had been joined at the hip as The Neptunes. In the following years, Pharrell produced like a madman, concocting hit records for Usher, John Legend, Jay-Z, Miley Cyrus, and Beyoncé, among others.

Fast forward to December, 2013, when Columbia Records released this happy announcement.

On March 3, Girl was released. Much like the album's lead single, Happy (from Despicable Me 2), Pharrell's sophomore solo release is a joy-inducing, positivity-exuding dance-pop fest. The 10-song album, which features Justin Timberlake and Alicia Keys, among others, celebrates fun and women, and will instantly and uncomplicatedly put you in a good mood.
