"Some things they should stay the way they are"

The Catcher In The Rye by J.D. Salinger

Yesterday evening I finished reading "The Catcher in the Rye" by J.D. Salinger. The whole book is told from the perspective of Holden Caulfield, a directionless boy who is undergoing psychological treatment in a mental hospital.

The story chronicles his life in the few days after being expelled from Pencey Prep. We learn that Holden has lost his brother Allie to leukemia and that he has quite some resentful feelings towards people and their annoying habits.
