Dimitri Maex & Sexy Little Numbers

Sexy Little Numbers by Dimitri Maex is a worthwile introduction to data optimization

Last October, my college lured math marketer Dimitri Maex of OgilvyOne to Antwerp to speak at the Marketing Experience Days. I chose to attend his presentation because A) Ogilvy is a top advertising and marketing agency and B) I am a big fan of advanced statistics (albeit mostly in basketball).

At the beginning of the presentation, Mr. Maex mentioned his new book, Sexy Little Numbers, which proved to be a wortwhile introduction to turning data into growth. There was very little actual math to digest, but the book chronologically tackled the most important questions in marketing - from who you should target to how to optimize your actions.
